Sadaqah
Teaching one child to read outlasts the one who paid for it.
Fees do not cover every student who comes to us, and some arrive with no fee at all. If you want to carry part of that, this page explains how — and is honest about which routes are open today and which we are still arranging.
مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ

Five kinds
Name the kind of giving, not the amount
These are not tiers and none is better than the others. They are five different intentions, and the difference between them is a legal one — it changes who the money may lawfully reach once it arrives.
Zakat
The obligatory annual share of your wealth.
What it goes to
Only where the recipient conditions are met. Read the section below before giving Zakat here.
We would rather you gave your Zakat elsewhere than gave it invalidly.
Sadaqah
A voluntary gift, any amount, any time, no conditions.
What it goes to
Wherever the need is that month — a teacher’s salary, a Qaida, a laptop for an online class, the electricity bill in July.
Sadaqah Jariyah
A gift that keeps giving after you have stopped. The hadith names three things that continue for a person after death: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits, and a child who prays for them.
What it goes to
A madrasa is two of those three at once. A Hifz student who goes on to teach begins the cycle again.
Lillah
A gift given purely for the sake of Allah, with no obligation behind it and no possession condition attached.
What it goes to
This is the category that may fund an institution rather than a person — a building, a utility bill, a teacher’s wage. Zakat and Sadaqah Wajibah cannot, because they require tamlik: the money must pass into an eligible recipient’s own ownership.
If you want to help with something a madrasa needs but a student cannot own, this is the one to name.
Sponsor one student
One student, for a year.

One student’s monthly fee, for as long as you have said you will carry it.
Names and photographs of students are never published, and what a sponsor is told is limited on purpose. See the two notes on the card.

Waqf — an endowment whose capital is never spent and whose return funds the work — is not something this page can take, because it needs a trust deed and named trustees before it can exist. If that is what you have in mind, talk to us rather than transferring anything.

Two doors, depending on where you are
Pakistan’s domestic transfer rails are instant and free, and they are the best route if you are in the country. From anywhere else, ask us first — the honest answer is that we are still arranging it.

Message us before you send anything
Card giving from abroad is being arranged and is not live yet. We are also not going to tell you a wire will simply arrive — a foreign-currency transfer into a Pakistani institutional account can be held or returned for reasons that have nothing to do with you or with us. So: message us with the country you are sending from, and we will tell you what is working from there this month before you part with anything.

Handled entirely by the provider — this site never sees a card number, and there is no payment code in it to be compromised. The provider deducts a percentage of each gift, and if you are giving Zakat you should read the section below first, because who bears that deduction is a question about the Zakat and not just about the invoice.
On an international transfer, your bank charges you, the receiving bank charges us, and any bank in between takes its fee out of the money itself. Nobody can tell you the arrival amount in advance. On a small gift that can be a large share of it, which is the other reason to ask first.
Zakat
Before you give Zakat here, read this
Zakat has conditions on who may receive it. If it reaches a recipient who does not qualify, the obligation is not discharged and you would have to give it again. That consequence is serious enough that we will not put a reassuring sentence here in place of a real answer — so every row below states the question we have not yet answered, rather than the answer we would like to give.

Plainly
Who receives this, and what a gift here is not
Every honest giving page has a section like this one and most of them bury it. Ours is short because most of it is not yet filled in — but what is filled in is the part that could cost you money if you assumed otherwise.
A gift made here is not tax-deductible where you live
This is a Pakistani institution. A transfer made directly to us is not Gift Aid eligible in the UK, is not deductible on a US return, and carries no EU charitable relief. We do not issue a receipt that any of those authorities will accept, and we would rather say so on this page than in a reply to you in April. If a deduction matters to you, give through a registered charity in your own country that funds work like this — that is a real option and it is not a lesser gift.

What we will not do
The things this page does not do to you
Most of what makes an online giving page feel wrong is deliberate design. None of it is here, and it is worth saying which absences are choices.
No preselected amount
Nothing on this page decides for you what a reasonable gift is. There is no highlighted middle button doing that work quietly, and no empty box implying a number belongs in it.
No manufactured urgency
No countdown, no progress bar towards a target nobody set, and no ticker of recent donors. If there were a genuine deadline we would name it.
No recurring by default
A monthly commitment is something you choose out loud, in a message to us, not something a pre-ticked box arranges on your behalf.
No student photographs
We do not publish children’s faces or names to raise money. Most of our students are minors and consent for that cannot be gathered honestly at scale.
No list, no resale
There is no database on this site and no form that posts anywhere. One thing to know: if you message us on WhatsApp, Meta can see that you contacted us and what you sent — which is also why we would rather you did not send bank details that way. Email or call for anything sensitive.
No pressure after
Giving once does not enrol you in anything. If you would like to hear how it was spent, ask; if not, you will not hear from us.
