Stage 02
Nazra — reading the Quran
Nazra is reading the Quran from the Mushaf itself, out loud, to a teacher who stops you when you are wrong. It is the longest stage for most students and the one that changes the most — it begins effortful and ends fluent, and there is no shortcut through it.

The content
What this stage actually covers.
Written from the subject itself, not from a brochure. If something here does not apply to you, the teacher will say so rather than teach it anyway.
Reading directly from the Mushaf, in order, page by page
Building from the short surahs you already use in salah up to long continuous passages
Where a breath belongs and where taking one changes the meaning
The waqf marks printed in the Mushaf, and acting on them rather than ignoring them
Fluency — reading at a natural pace instead of decoding letter by letter
Unpicking the specific mistakes that come from having taught yourself
- You start with
- Secure letter recognition and the harakat — the end of the Noorani Qaida, or an equivalent you already have.
- You finish able to
- You can open the Mushaf at a page you have never seen and read it aloud, correctly, at a normal pace, without help.

The shape of a class
Most of each class is you reciting, not the teacher talking. You read, they correct, you re-read the corrected line.
Fees, duration and the number of classes a week are not published yet — see the straight answers on the courses page.

The stages run in this order, but they are not gates. You are placed by what you can actually do in the first class.
